AGENDA
Making Workflow Actually Work
Since it's inception, Plone has supported a sophisticated and flexible
workflow system--one that is still, feature-wise, ahead of much of our
competition. However, as many site-builders have learned, just "using
workflow" doesn't guarantee site quality or promote ease-of-use.
In this talk, Joel will discuss:
- "Joel's Immutable Law of Reviewer Attention Span"
- patterns of workflow design that really work
- the workflows that ship with Plone 3 and the recommended tweaks to them
- add-ons for workflow that enhance its usability
- other features in Plone that help ensure quality content
This talk is semi-technical--it addresses both social and programming
concerns for Plone, and it is appropriate for site managers, content
managers, integrators, and developers.
