Cat-Herding for Plone -- January Seattle Plone meeting
Plone themeing and documentation star Veda Williams will present her conference talk "Cat-Herding for Plone: Organizing and Executing a Successful Remote Sprint." In addition, we have a not-insignificant number of community members that participated in the December 2008 PloneFormGen sprint sponsored by ONE/Northwest. We'll get lightning talks from participants about the boatload of new features that are available.

AGENDA
Cat-Herding for Plone: Organizing and Executing a Successful Remote Sprint
This presentation highlights the OOTB (visual theming) champion project that was established as a priority at the Plone Strategic Planning Summit. The OOTB project gathered together nearly 40 members of the Plone community focused on improving the theming story. It resulted in the delivery of numerous Plone 3.0 themes, improved designs for plone.org to better surface themes and theme-related documentation. It helped to clarify best practices, gaps in knowledge and documentation, and increased the visibility of themers in the overall Plone community. The panel reviews the successes and challenges, and its profound impact on the theming and integrators story for Plone.
Speaker: Veda Williams, ONE/Northwest
What's New With PloneFormGen 1.5
We had a not-insignificant number of Seattle Plone members that participated in the December 2008 PloneFormGen sprint sponsored by ONE/Northwest. Since that time we've seen over 100 checkins to the PloneFormGen subversion repository which account for the handful of exciting new features that are available. After a brief introduction to what's possible with PloneFormGen, we'll start informally demoing as many of the new features as possible.
